Southern Bear plc’s is a holding company focusing on investments in the support services, industrial and engineering sectors of the UK and Europe. Its has five main operating subsidiaries, Tarvail, Tarvail Design, Towerinput, BGC and Phoenix.

The first step towards this aim was made in November/December 2006 with the acquisition of Tarvail Limited, a manufacturer and installer of specialist pipework systems, mainly for the pharmaceutical and refrigeration industries. Its pipes carry liquids, gas or light solids and can be made from corrosive-resistant materials for transporting dangerous substances or of glass for carrying substances under sterile conditions. Among its clients is a well-known FTSE100 pharmaceutical company.

Southern Bear is actively looking to acquire companies with sales of between £1m and £10 million which are profitable and cash generative.
