Phoenix Dynamics wins Sentinel Business Award for International Trade

Southern Bear is pleased to announce that Phoenix Dynamics Limited ("Phoenix"), a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, has won the Sentinel Business Award for International Trade. The Sentinel Business Awards is a prestigious regional business event with approximately 240 nominees entered into the awards across 11 categories.

The International Trade Award was sponsored by UK Trade and Investment and the European Community European Regional Development Fund. It is an award for outstanding achievement in international trade, selling goods or services in the world market. In winning, Phoenix has demonstrated its strong position within its chosen market.

Phoenix is a specialist supplier and contractor to the electronics industry, with a particular emphasis on the defense and wind energy sub-sectors. Phoenix´s key international customer is the U.S. Army for whom it became a Tier 1 defense supplier. This contract was achieved with the support of BAE and the UK Trade and Investment.

Speaking today, Phoenix´s Managing Director Graeme Boull stated:

"We are delighted to have won this award that recognizes our achievement in breaking into the American defense market. It is very unusual for a small to medium-sized British company to become a Tier 1 defense supplier to the U.S. Army.
